A note from Pastor Penni:
It is my privilege to be on a special assignment from my Lord with Radio Chapel Network. Radio Chapel Network was born in my heart when God whispered by His Holy Spirit, "This shall be My Radio Chapel". I answered; "yes, Lord". The passion for Benevolence & Broadcast became reality much quicker than I would have ever imagined.
We started simple. Take everything available to sell and sell it. We exchanged our antiques for microphones, monitors and studio equipment. Volunteers came to help us assemble our very first studio.
Once the need for programming and broadcast funds began to grow we worked our "tent making business" (our jobs) and funneled our resources to launch RadioChapel.FM. We did not approach someone else to pay us; we trusted the God who sent would pay the way. He is faithful.
The objective was very clear. Buy the truth & sell it not! Do not participate with "hired shepherds" and keep the worship pure. If you've ever been in an intimate moment of worship with the Father and it was abruptly interrupted by a commercial for Desperate Housewives or something equally as secular, then you get it.
In 2010 we broadcast our first live program. RadioChapel.FM has quickly become the number one online Christian Radio Station. A safe place to "refresh your spirit". People love the experience of uninterrupted worship. The stickyness of the station soared with the RadioChapel.MOBI addition for poratable devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods, Smart Phones, Androids, and Livio Radio access for your vehicle.
Soon after we launched our audio message station RadioChapel.AM for the preaching of the word. In our initial launch we played praise music and the dramatic reading of The Word itself. We are now opening that station up for Ministries to bring discipleship teaching to our RCN family. This includes our newest station RadioChapel.TV. In September of 2011 we were able to launch our RadioChapel.TV station for video streaming TV and on-demand messages.
We've given away pocket bibles since day one.We have an average of 28 countries represented by listeners at all times day and night.
Benevolence:
We do understand the need in third world countries. However, we are sent to the need in the USA. Our neighbors here in America are in need. We've started small with gas cards for people who need to get to work, batteries in vehicles, food for families and paying some electric bills. As our network grows we want to do so much more. We are a not-for-profit ministry, not a publicly owned secular corporation who broadcast Christian and secular messages. When you partner with RCN - your fighting on the home front with us.
We only do endorsements, but never do commercials on the air. There are many that would argue with me that you are robbing people of the "right to give". I disagree. Let me tell you why.
I am blessed with a really big family. At my mom's house on Thanksgiving you will always find two turkeys perfectly cooked. (Stay with me ...) The hams, the dressing, the green beans are perfection. My sisters are cooks with major bragging rights themselves. Walnut cherry pie, brownies, ... words can not describe the wonderful banquet we experience. And then there is the pink stuff. Aunt Marsha always brings the "pink stuff". It's a jello fruit concoction that you miss if she isn't there.
If you were my guest for Thanksgiving, I can assure you a fantastic meal and great fellowship. I can also GUARANTEE that we won't ask you to chip in and pay your tab at the end of the meal. That would be plain rude if you are a guest, don't you agree?
It would be entirely different if you became a family member and came year after year and never offered to pick up a plate, help with dishes or bring any contribution.
My simple faith is this....
the true family of God
will pick up the tab for our guest,
so they can meet
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We took a different route to sponsors and fundraising then most. Our objective to separate the "marketplace" from the "worship" was one of no-compromise. A mandate in my heart was to keep it pure and uncluttered from commercialism. It's obvious to anyone that running stations are not free or inexpensive. We came up with a unique method of partnering with sponsors. The opportunity for people to support the network exist in an unique platform designed to bless them back in return with more than a cup, book mark or bumper sticker. We help to support their ministry with listings in our sponsor directory.
Future:
Our goal is to lift a tower in Dallas Fort Worth Texas and go on cable television with the same commercial free - solicitation free format. We would also like to go on Satellite Radio.
